Castle Casanova Takes Allowance

Castle Casanova, a 3 yr old son of Cairo Prince out of Krakowviak won a first level allowance race going 6 furlongs on the main track at Belmont Monday. 

Jockey Luis Saez settled Castle Casanova into a close stalking third, three wide up the backstretch and into the turn. He pulled even with the leaders by the top of the stretch then began easing away mid-stretch to win by 2 lengths in 1:09.29. 

Castle Casanova was a $225,000 NYP Sale yearling and a $140,000 FTM 2 yr old and now has a record of 2-1-1 in 5 starts with earnings of $93,420. He is a half brother to stakes placed winners Hidden Vow ($295,372) and Morning Calm ($215,019).
